Key Differences

A fiend is a devil constrained by a human corpse's physical limits. A true devil manifests unrestricted. This means any fiend is weaker than its true devil counterpart. The Blood Devil in pure form would far exceed Power the Blood Fiend.

Power Hierarchy

From weakest to strongest: standard fiends, intelligent fiends (Power, Beam), hybrids (Denji, Reze), true devils (Gun, Control), primordial fears (Darkness). Fiends can grow through combat but face a hard ceiling defined by their host body and original devil power.

Blurred Lines

The categories are deliberately blurred. Power's emotional growth transcends typical fiend behavior. Denji's conscious hybrid control differs from both fiends and true devils. The series uses these gray areas to explore identity questions: what makes someone human, devil, or something new?
